Rascal Flatts!

Guess who's baaaack!!!  lol ... well i finally was able to get internet in my apt so it makes it a little more convenient to blog.  Plus i thought my power cord was not working (victim of snowflake's chewing) but was quite shock to see it power up my laptop today :)  Hopefully i can blog more.  I might have to back date almost a year worth of stuff ... who knows.

Well last night i was able to go see Rascal Flatts perform.  They actually came to the Columbus Civic Center and i jumped on that opp.  Rascal Flatts is one of my favorite bands.  They are actually in my top 5.  My goal is to see all of my top 5 artists in concert ... i am only down to one and my list will be complete.  Darius Rucker opened up for them.  The concert was good but for how much we had to pay i was expecting a bigger show but i was disappointed.  I would definitely go see them again.    Our seats were pretty good.  We were in the nose bleed section but the Civic Center is not that big so no matter where you sit you will always have a good seat.  (I'm having issues with uploading my pics so those are coming soon :)

This is a story of great music and the park.

So on Friday i won some tickets to go to the symphony at the Rivercenter. I have never been to the symphony or to the rivercenter so i was soo excited to go. I asked my supervisor to go and it was awesome! The music was so beautiful and the soloist was breathtaking. Our tickets had us sitting in the balcony second to last row which means we had to walk some stairs. My legs are still so weak and it was so hard to walk up super steep steps so i was holding on the rail and using my upper body to literally pull myself up the steps. Once the symphony started we were able to move a few rows ahead of us since there was really no one there =(

Today Snowflake was a wild and crazy dog and since it was absolutely gorgeous outside so i was like "Let's go on a walk!" to work off her energy. Off we went to a local park and since it rained so much this week that the creek pretty much washed out most of the trail. We just walked around and Snowflake was in heaven. Now as i am writing this blog she is passed out and she really didn't get in trouble. Hmm ... i guess this walking thing really does work with the behavioral issues.

This is a story about church

So today i did something i have not done in a year. i went to church. it seems like for the past 3 years i only go to church in March. not sure why but this year it's going to be different. i am really am going to try to go every sunday to get spiritually fed. two weeks ago i was getting a strong urge to go to church. i think it's because i miss it. i wanted to go last sunday but slept through my alarm. this sunday my friend Shelice was giving a talk and i made every effort to go and listen ... even if it means going on two hours of sleep.
shelice's talk was awesome and there was a part that really stuck out and felt like it was meant for me. at the end of her talk she was reading a testimony by Elder Holland and he said:

"To all of you who think you are lost or without hope, or who think you have done too much that was too wrong for too long, to every one of you who worry that you are stranded somewhere on the wintry plains of life and have wrecked your handcart in the process, this conference calls out Jehovah’s unrelenting refrain, “[My] hand is stretched out still. I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them,” He said, “[and even if they] deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them, … if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts. His mercy endureth forever, and His hand is stretched out still. His is the pure love of Christ, the charity that never faileth, that compassion which endures even when all other strength disappears."
Lately i've been feeling lost and that my life has no direction. i feel stuck. i don't know if any of you have ever felt that way ... stuck. and i think i have disappointed people because i might have done wrong (according to the church). today people came to me and asked if i was new and it was hard to answer ... "yes um no um maybe. i've been in the ward for a year and am just now coming" but i guess it really doesn't matter what the answer is ... i came and making a decision to come back to church. that is what really matters. but i also am not sure if i can follow all the teachings as before but it could all change ... no guarantees though.
Before i close i must say ... this album is AWESOME!!!

This is the story of music at the Alamo.

*** Update ***
I orginally made a video of the pics from last night but blogger was acting up and i just now realized that i can create a youtube account and make a link to the video from there. So i deleted the Smilebox and replaced it with a link. If you looked at the Smilebox photos please take a look at the video. It has one or two more pics and the music is my friend's song that i would love for you all to hear.

Last night a few of my friends and i went to a restaurant/bar called the Alamo in Newnan, ga to see our friend, Jason, perform. The Alamo used to be an old movie theatre and it was neat to go in there and imagine how it would have looked in the 50s or 60s. I am not sure when it closed as a theatre. Below is a link to a video with a few pics of the night. Enjoy!!!
